Established in May 1978, NewElec has, over the years, achieved the distinction of being one of South Africa's leading manufacturers of electronic motor protection relays.

Today, the company is actively involved in research and development and continuously designs and frequently launches new motor protection products into the market. These high tech products meet the latest requirements both locally and overseas. NewElec's electronic motor protection relays are used extensively throughout the various South African industries.

NewElec's relays are sold to all the major customers in the gold, coal, diamond and copper mines, steelworks, paper and sugar mills, municipalities, water affairs and local government departments.

NewElec's motor protection relays have also been exported to countries such as Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Namibia and Chile. NewElec is dedicated to providing superior products and service to its customers.
